Re-imaging the world around us
How we perceive nature is much more complicated than the camera's sense. As artists (to speak of myself at least) we struggle to capture what is beyond the image to be presented in a representational manner. The interplay between sky and sea, cliffs and sand, forest and tree, water and rock create a language of their own that I constantly strive to express in my painting.
